The Dysart Hospital is a well-equipped regional hospital with 9 beds and an emergency service.

The Hospital, which is located on Queen Elizabeth Drive, has both regular and visiting services,

such as;

• Counselling / Social Work

• Mental Health - Adult / Youth

• Mobile Women's Health Nurse

• Radiology

• Royal Flying Doctor Women's Health

• School Base Youth Health Nurse

• Speech

• Pathology

• Mobile Breast Screening Van

The Community Health Centre is located in the hospital grounds and has regular clinic services including;

• Well baby clinic

• Immunisation

• Community nursing

• Health Promotion

• Triple P Program

• Antenatal classes

• Aged care

• New Mother's Support Group

• School Based Vaccination Program

• School Dental Van visits

Outback Futures

 

The Outback Futures team visits Dysart regularly, providing allied and mental health services for kids, teens and adults.  Dysart locals can access fee-free, confidential support through face to face and telehealth appointments. Referrals are not required. Support has been provided to the Dysart Community thanks to support provided by BMA as a wellbeing project initiated by the Smart Transformation Advisory Counsel. Available services include;

• Counselling & Psychology

• Speech Pathology

• Occupational Therapy

• Community Wellbeing

Hinterland Community Care Inc

 

Hinterland Community Care Inc. (HCC) is located at 12 Murphy Street, Dysart.  HCC’s aim is to support and promote participation in everyday life for people with additional needs.  This may include those requiring assistance due to age or disability. Assisting people to stay in their own homes and remain part of the community is their primary goal.  Not only are they able to provide services such as respite care, nursing care, transport and domestic assistance, they also facilitate day care centre activities such as hoy and bingo. 

 

HCC receive funding to provide these services therefore there will be minimal cost to clients.  To see if you are eligible or if you would like to join the group for their next social event please contact HCC on (07) 4958 2116.
