Dysart Daycare - Lady Gowrie Dysart, Child Centre and Community Space
Dysart Daycare was a government funded Long Day Care centre which was officially opened as ‘Dysart Neighbourhood Centre’ on the 2nd August 1980. On the 6th June 2012 extensions to the centre located at 25 Yeates Crescent Dysart, were officially opened. Those extensions, funded by BMA & the QLD Government, provided Dysart families with access to a modern facility boasting spacious purpose built rooms and shady outdoor play areas. The Centre was re-named Dysart Daycare in 2010.
Now operated by Lady Gowrie, the centre is known as Lady Gowrie Dysart, Child Centre and Community Space.

Dysart Kindergarten
Dysart Kindergarten was officially opened on the 6th of October 1979. It is a community centre run by a volunteer management committee and affiliated with the C & K Association of Qld.
The centre has University qualified early childhood teachers and qualified assistants with each group consisting of a teacher, assistant and a maximum of 22 students. The number of groups offered is dependent on the number of children on the waiting list each year.
Curriculum - Building Waterfalls
Dysart Kindergarten’s curriculum aims to provide learning environments and experiences that will enhance and give meaning to your child’s relationship with the world and its people. They ensure a quality early childhood program based on C & K’s Building Waterfalls program and the Early Years Learning Framework (ELYF); reflecting the latest research in early childhood education.
Dysart Kindergarten’s program is structured on play-based learning, which provides an effective and challenging curriculum. This structure recognises the importance of engaging children’s interests and curiosity in learning. Daily programming is flexible to enable children to develop at their own pace. It includes time for active play, creative play and activities, quiet games and times that the group comes together to share stories, learning, music, movement and ideas.
The Dysart Kindergarten’s operating hours are between 8.45am and 2.55pm, with the centre following the same term dates and holidays as the State School calendar year.

Dysart State School
The Dysart State Primary School commenced operations on 21 May 1973 with 27 students in the 7 primary year levels. Today, numbers sit close to 400 and as of 2015 range from ‘Prep’ to Grade 6.

Dysart State High School
Dysart State High School is a co-educational public high school delivering years 7 through 12. Opened in 1982, it was developed from a secondary department attached to Dysart State School in 1978.
The school is committed to providing access to a quality education for young people in the Central Highlands. It provides a dynamic approach to education with the focus on maximising opportunities for students to explore 'what's possible' and then providing them with the skills to reach their goals.

The Dysart Library
The Dysart Library is located on Shannon Crescent, opposite the top end of Centenary Park, provides modern facilities with a vast array of novels, children’s books and resource material available.
Membership of the Isaac Regional Libraries is free to adults and children who live in the region. Those who can't supply evidence of residency may apply for a temporary membership; this will involve a fee which will be refunded upon either providing evidence of residency or membership cancellation. Members will also have access to Isaac Regional Libraries online catalogue allowing them to renew their items, update account details, browse the libraries catalogues and reserve items which will be sent to any Isaac Library the member requests.
Weekly kids craft workshops and reading groups for 0 – 5 Year olds plus primary school age reading groups, are conducted by the library during school terms. The centre is open Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
