Neighbourhood Centre Program
Dysart Community Support Group Inc. deliver a Neighbourhood Centre Program, funded by the Department of Families, Seniors, Disability Services and Child Safety. This funding underpins DCSG's activities in the Dysart Community. Our key priorities under this program are:

Create social connections and inclusion

Integrate local community action
We undertake Community Development, designed to:

Empower residents: Work alongside clients to identify and achieve their goals through a person centred, strength based approach

Support Individuals and Groups: Offer resources, guidance, and advocacy to enhance community participation and capacity building for social or interest-based groups.

Foster Collaboration: Partner with other services to coordinate existing community resources, ensuring efficient and impactful delivery of support.

Address Local Needs: Prioritise and respond to the unique needs and issues of the Dysart community, promoting sustainable development and social cohesion.

Conversational English
Do you know someone who has English as their second language? Let them know about our Conversational English Group, which provides;

A small group to practice speaking English through conversation, games and sharing with others.

A casual group for adults with English as a second language. Don’t worry we will take it slow if needed.

You can bring a support person. Let us know if there are any other things we can do to support you to participate!

Morning tea will be provided, so this is also a great chance to meet new people in the community!

Digital Drop In Sessions
Did you know Dysart Community Centre support local residents to improve their digital literacy and access to technology and the internet with safety as a priority? Dysart Community Centre staff are available to assist users with any basic items to understand their mobile device better, navigate online services or can provide referrals to get support if needed.
We are not technology experts, however we are here to assist you to stay secure online, explain basic troubleshooting or provide you with access to the internet via one of our centre laptops. For ease of access, we are providing weekly digital drop-in sessions for computer access and support 10am - 12pm each Wednesday.
Please still book a private appointment for another day if your issue requires additional privacy or time. Confidentiality and your safety are our number one priority.

Dysart Interagency Network
The Dysart Interagency Network provides an opportunity for service providers and community stakeholders to share information about services, events, activities and project initiatives as well as any challenges, trends or impacts they are experiencing. The goal of the network is to effectively communicate across organisations, allowing the promotion of service accessibility, identification of shared challenges, opportunities, and solutions.

Meetings are held quarterly and run for two hours. Community Events, Projects, Programs and Workshops
Dysart Community Support Group Inc. work with community members and stakeholders to identify opportunities, combat challenges and improve the liveability of Dysart for all full-time and part-time community members. To meet the diverse needs of our community we lead, collaborate and support a wide range of events, projects, programs and other activities. In the past we have hosted whole of community celebrations such as the Dysart 40th Anniversary Celebration, A successful Guinness World Record Attempt and Art and Photography exhibitions with entries from across the state.
