Room Rental

If you are a local or visiting service requiring office space, Dysart Community Centre has rooms available on fixed or flexible hire terms.  Whether you require a one-off use to conduct interviews or are looking for weekly/monthly hire on a more permanent basis we can help you.  Fees for this service contribute to the costs of services and activities that the Dysart Community Support Group provides to our community.  Fees and conditions are negotiated with the Community Development Officer; please contact the cdo with any enquiries cdo@dysartcommunity.com.au or (07)4958 2461.

Telehealth Hub

We all understand the challenges that come with living in regional Queensland.  Finding the time and funds to travel to larger regional centres to access specialist services can be more difficult than it seems.  A Telehealth Hub is essentially a video conferencing service.  Our Telehealth Hub can be used in many instances when you need to connect with a health professional not located in our local community; for example, a specialist, physiotherapist or dietician.  A service such as this can be especially useful for low risk initial or follow-up consultations and can alleviate the additional stress of things like needing to take days off work, school or having to organise childcare.

On the day of your consultation, there will be someone available to help you use the Telehealth equipment, connecting you to your health professional, if you need it but, just like a normal doctor’s appointment, your Telehealth appointment will be private and confidential. You will be in a private room, and your specialist or other health professional will also be in a private room which no one can see into. You can also have a family member, carer or other person, who you feel will offer support or assistance, with you in the room.

No fees will be charged for you to access the Telehealth service through our Centre; however you will need to discuss the usual consultation or other fees that your practitioner charges directly with their office.

Please contact the Dysart Community Centre on (07) 4958 2461 for further information or Telehealth Hub Bookings.
